OC526: Waskuk / Kwoma Mask

A fine old ceremonial mask that was hung on a costume and not on the face from the Waskuk or Kwoma peoples of the upper Sepik River. The original natural pigments are well preserved and the overall patina is good and dark from age and use.

Previously in the collection of Paul Harris, WA who purchased this piece from Tribalmania Gallery, CA.

11 3/4" tall by 6" wide. Early 20th century, New Guinea.    ....$2500.00
