PH475: Kalinga Head Axe

A good quality Kalinga head axe. The blade is well forged and heavy and the collar is made of iron. The wood handle has a rare form of hook and a good patina from age and use.

From the collection of Harvey Calvin Adams who served in the US Army, stationed in the Philippines from 1898 to 1901. He then went back to the Philippines as a Philippine Constabulary serving from 1905 to 1920. I purchased a collection of swords directly from the family.

22 ½” Length with a 13 ½”x 3” Blade. Late 19th or early 20th century, Northern Philippines.    ....$1500.00
