INDO501: Balinese Alter Post

A beautifully carved old Balinese post that was part of the interior house alter. The base is carved on all four sides in high relief with Garuda winged faces and birds. There are remnants of the natural pigment color and a good patina from age. This piece is constructed of five separate pieces of wood, the carved base, center post and three detail elements at the top.
