A very strong and powerful mask from the Murik Lakes Area near the mouth of the Sepik River. The eyes are piercing, the septum pierced, and the forehead juts far forward. The hard wood has a good dark patina from age and use. Previously in the collection of Paul harris, Alaska. Ex- Lewis Wara Gallery Seattle. 13” Tall by 5 ¼” Wide.
