INDO573: Dayak Stone Top

An unusual and sensitive Dayak stone container stopper of a woman with a child on her back. The stone has a dark patina from age and use, and there is one missing chunk out of the bottom where it would stick into the bamboo container.     

Previously in the collection of Joe Gerena, New York. Joe was a passionate and knowledgeable tribal art dealer and collector know for his fine esthetics.
