AF426: Pende Sword

A rare form of Pende knife with janus head handle. The unusual shape and offset blade has a very dark patina from age, use and possibly libations. The handle is well carved with strong faces and a good dark patina. This sword comes with a custom metal base that has a small square sleeve and post that goes into the bottom.    

19 1/2" tall with a 12 1/2" Blade that is 3 1/2" wide. Early 20th century D. R. Congo, Africa.    ....$750.00
